Patients love Dr. Julienne Evie because she sees you as a person, not a number. She is able to look at your overall health and help you make decisions in our office that will impact your entire life. She understands that it’s not just a filling or crown; it’s restoring your ability to eat, speak, and smile, therefore increasing your longevity and quality of life.
Dr. Evie Sabet was inspired to become a dentist when she witnessed veterans struggle with these simple aspects of life: chewing food, speaking properly, and smiling freely. She volunteered at the VA hospital’s dental clinic while attending the University of Florida (go Gators!), where she earned her undergraduate degree in food science and health nutrition.
Seeing firsthand how excellent dentistry could change the lives of these men and women who sacrificed for our country was enough to inspire Dr. Evie to apply for dental school the following year. She had not thought about the impact of oral health on a person’s quality of life, but once she saw it, Dr. Evie was ready to help others obtain good health.
Dr. Evie Sabet graduated from the University of Maryland, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery in 2009. She is licensed in Florida and North Carolina and has worked in nine different roles as dentist, varying from starting a practice on her own to being an assistant clinical professor at East Carolina University School of Dental Medicine to providing dental care to patients in nursing homes using mobile dental equipment.
Dr. Evie Sabet has been honored as a University Scholar at the University of Florida, a member of Gorgas Dental Honors Society, and the winner of the Baltimore College of Dental Surgery Manager’s Award. In addition to her accolades, Dr. Evie stays connected and up-to-date with memberships in the American Dental Association, North Carolina Dental Association, and American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine.
The best part of Dr. Evie’s job is meeting new people and getting to know the community she serves. In most cases, a dentist sees patients more often than a primary care doctor, so she values getting to know our patients and their families and being a part of their life.
When not at the office, Dr. Evie spends time with her husband and three children. Her oldest daughter loves horses, rides regularly, and participates in local horse shows. Her second daughter has a flair for the dramatic arts and can be found singing, dancing, and acting even when she is not in acting class. Her third child is a rambunctious little man who enjoys tae kwon do and watching hockey with his dad (go Buffalo Sabres!)
